Viewing Cairo from up high on Tahrir Square, you're filled with the serenity of a skydiver after his chute has opened. Graceful minarets and citadels surround you as your body slowly makes its descent into the city.
However, when you look below, you discover the ground is ablaze, and you're heading right into the center of the fire. Suddenly, you're not so calm anymore. At street level, Cairo is anything but calm. Cars running on chaos scribble all over the road, slopping over center lines, taking wide corners and playing chicken with oncoming taxis and ... well ... chickens.
