A recipe for Sydney.

Start with one sparkling harbor. Sprinkle it with sailboats, spinnakers flying. Surround it with a landmass just hilly enough to be interesting. Stir in plenty of charming Victorian facades, and then toss in just a sprinkling of skyscrapers (not too heavy on these).

Add a dusting of outdoor cafés, plenty of chic shopping, a lively street scene and lots of tropical greenery. Season to taste.
